The Holiday Inn Staunton Conference Center was a peaceful retreat, set away from the hustle and bustle, offering stunning views of the nearby golf course against a backdrop of majestic mountains. the friendly staff and spacious rooms, complete with a convenient work desk, made for a comfortable stay. the hotel's close proximity to the historic downtown area and universities like Mary Baldwin University and VMI makes it a convenient choice for both leisure and business travelers. the stay was marred by a few issues, such as unpleasant odors in the hallways and rooms, and noisy guests outside disrupting the peace of the night. the unprofessional attitude of the front desk clerk in handling room changes for my elderly mother was also disappointing. Despite these setbacks, the location and pet-friendly amenities make it a decent choice for those looking to explore the nearby attractions and enjoy a round of golf at the Club at IronWood. However, I would recommend exploring other accommodation options in the area for a more pleasant stay experience.
